Locking and unlocking attendance
As the month with a correctly inserted attendance pass, you can lock the attendance for this month.
By locking an attendance, the calculated values are transferred from the locked month to the next month. This ensures the right calculation of activities (e.g. compensatory time, vacation). The locked attendance also cannot be any more edited, unless the user with appropriate permission unlocks it again.
Automatic locking of the attendance
A planned task called Lock attendance can be found in the newly created account.
With this planned task, you simply set any workday in the month when the attendance will automatically lock. The planned task can lock only Last month or all unlocked months Since start of year until last month. Anytime there will be an error of the automatic locking, the system will send a notification to a set e-mail address.

Manual locking of the attendance
In order to lock attendance, several rules must be followed:
- the locking period does not contain any errors in the attendance
- the locking period does not have any unsubmit requests
the locking period must be locked chronologically
e.g. you can't have an unlocked attendance in January and locked attendance in February
- In the Attendance agenda, click the icon of the closed lock (to lock attendance) or the open lock (to unlock attendance).
Choose the period e.g. 01.24.-01.24 means January.
If needed, choose the longer period to lock/unlock the attendance in bulk - e.g. 01.24-12.24.
This period will be automatically locked/unlocked chronologically.
- Choose users and submit your preferences.
You can simply recognize locked or unlocked attendance by icons in the Daily view or the Monthly view. For easier filtration, use the filter Display persons with un/locked attendance.
If the attendance of previous months is not locked or is locked in the bad order, the system will warn you by the errors below.
Unclosed attendance
If you have an unlocked attendance for previous months, a notification will appear in the right panel. After clicking on the notification, it is easy to find out which months are not locked. It is necessary to lock attendance for those months.
Incorrect attendance closing order
You may lock the attendance for previous months, but the notification will still appear. If you have a notification in your attendance about the wrong order in closing attendance, it means that you have not locked your attendance chronologically, i.e. month by month. In this case, it is necessary to unlock attendance for the given months and then lock it chronologically. This can be done in bulk via the lock button and selecting the given months.
EXAMPLE: I have a locked attendance from January to September. I forgot to lock my attendance in October. Then I locked November and December. Attendance showed me that I don't have October closed. So I locked it. Since November and December were locked before October, I get a message about the wrong order of locking. So it is necessary to unlock the attendance from December to October and then lock it chronologically.
