Users permissions
Is it possible for one user to view or edit the attendance of a specific group of people but not all? View or edit Human Resources records for a given group of people only? Yes, GIRITON allows this by dividing users into Departments and granting Permission groups only for those given departments.
Users permissions according to departments
EXAMPLE: Mrs Kovářová is head of Warehouse department and should have permission to view all attendance of all users in this department.
How to assign users to the department
- Human Resources agenda - 1 Basic card.
- Click the magnifying glass and select one or more departments to assign users in the Department field. For example, Mr Novák to the department “Warehouse”.
- Save changes.
How to set a permission group
- User menu - Configuration - Permission groups.
- Using the Add button create a new permission group named, for example, Attendance view - Warehouse.
- Use the arrows in the 2 Permissions card to move the View all attendance permission to granted permissions.
- When you click on the granted View all attendance permission, the Only departments: (All departments) field will be available. You can select the departments to which the permission applies when you click on this field - select the Warehouse department.
- Select the users that you want to include in this permission group by clicking on the + button in the 3 Users card - i.e. which users will have the right to view attendance of users from the Warehouse department. For example, choose Mrs Kovářová.
- Save changes.
Now Mrs Kovářová has the right to view the attendance of users who are in the Warehouse department only. Specifically, she sees, for example, Mr Novák here.
Users permissions according to tags
You can also grant users permissions by tags in a similar way as by departments. This comes in handy, for example, if you want a manager to be able to view the attendance of all managers who are in different departments. However, he should not see the attendance of other users in these departments.
How to assign a tag to a user
- Human Resources agenda - 1 Basic card.
- Type e.g. Manager in the Tags field, press Enter. This will create a tag.
- Save changes.
The tag will already be offered in a drop-down menu for other managers. Therefore, assign the “Manager” tag to each manager.
TIP: If you mark multiple users at once, you can add a tag in bulk.
How to set a permission group
- User menu (your name at the top left) - Configuration - Permission groups.
- Use the Add button to create a new permission group named e.g. View attendance of managers.
- Use the arrows in the 2 Permissions card to move the View all attendance permission to the granted permissions.
- The included tags field will be available when you click on the granted View all attendance permission. The created tags will be offered in the drop-down list.
- Select the users that you want to include in this permission group using the + button in the 3 Users card - i.e. which users will have the right to view attendance of managers.
- Save changes.
Similarly, permission may be restricted to users who, on the other hand, do not have a tag assigned to it. For example, you can allow a manager to view the attendance of everyone except users marked with the headmanagement tag.
