IoT clock S1 and S2

Thanks to the battery, the autonomous IoT clock lasts operating months to years without a mains connection. Attendance is entered using 13.56MHz cards and chips. Attendance is sent in real time from anywhere where a mobile signal is available due to IoT network NBIoT (for model S2 sold since 2022) or Sigfox (for model S1 sold until 2022). So there is no need to connect to WiFi or LAN.

IoT Attendance clock are thus suitable for example for Facility management companies that cannot permanently install their own HW in the premises.

On delivery

The RFID reader is delivered in so-called transport mode. It is inactive for the movement detection of accelerometer and any transmission. It is necessary to press any button to activate it - this activates the RFID detector in the reader and attach any supported RFID tag. Repeat this operation twice. After the 2nd successful reading of RFID tag, the reader will be unlocked which will be reflected as a fast flashing of the LED and the sound of tri-tone. The reader is ready to detect both RFID tags and alarms from the accelerometer and send this information to the application from this moment.

Normal operating mode

It is possible to load the RFID tag and send the information to the application after activating the RFID reader. Pressing the button is indicated by a flashing LED and a simple tone. Then the LED turns off the light and the RFID reader waits for the RFID tag to be attached. If this is not happening within 3 sec., the device put itself into the deep sleep mode. The LED will light up and a two-tone will sound if the RFID tag is attached within 3 seconds of pressing the button and is successfully loaded. The retrieved information will be transmitted - this is reflected in very short flashes of the LED during the transmission which can be up to 10 sec. It is not possible to load more RFID tags/chips during the transmission and you must wait until the end of the transmission.

Settings of Individual buttons

The function of individual buttons, i.e. which attendance (Arrival, Pause,...) should be inserted after pressing which button, can be set for individual IoT Attendance clocks in the Web application in the Paired devices agenda. After selecting a specific device (IoT Attendance clocks) a table with 1-4 lines, which represent the individual buttons, will be displayed in card 4. You can set which activity each button enters (Work, Pause, …) and whether it is the beginning or end of this activity.

Alarm condition

An accelerometer is a part of the reader - a component that monitors unauthorized manipulation of the reader (attempted theft, its dismantling, etc.). Alarm information is sent to the application when this component is activated. Then the reader is put into the state of blocking other alarms for predefined time - this prevents very frequent transmission if the reader is in motion. The normal operating mode is reset either after the set time or the successful load of the RFID tag. At that moment, however, a guarding from the accelerometer is active again and the whole alarm event is repeated if the RFID reader is in motion again.

Transport mode

If you want the reader to go back to the transport mode, you need to press two end buttons and at the same time hold them for 3 sec. The LED is lit during this time. The LED lights out and a three-tone sounds when the reader goes into the transport mode. This also sets the reader to the default settings (30min. period/1 downlink daily). If you want to reactivate the reader, proceed as described in the paragraph on delivery.

Battery replacement

The battery should last for about a year during normal operation. To replace the battery, unscrew the four screws on the back of the device, use two ER14505M batteries for the S2 model (sold since 2022) or use two LS 14500 batteries for the S1 device (sold until 2022).

What if the IoT device is not working properly?

The attendance clock is not sending out the attendance data

Not sending the records may be caused by a weak battery. Replace the battery according to the type of the attendance clock, mentioned previously in the Battery replacement section.

Also, check S2's signal strength. For example try checking your phone with mobile data enabled, if it has a sufficient signal. If it does not have the signal, we recommend you move the attendance clock to another location.

If the previous steps did not help, switch the device into the transport mode and then back into operating mode, as seen previously in the Transport mode and On delivery sections. If the records are still not being sent, please contact our tech support.
